Count down to beaver nuggets

I'm headed south in TWO days.
I'll be headed down through southern CA, across AZ, NM, TEXAS and into AR.

Aside from Buc-ee's, where else do I need to stop for snacks? What do you recommend? It will be just me and my dog, so I can snack on anything I want free from any gaseous judgement by my passengers.

I am absolutely not ready for this trip. Pretty sure it's going to be an unmitigated disaster that smells like butts.

I opened a bag last night, gonna grab a ton more for the ride back North.
Are you trapped in a horrible place that does not have a Buc-ee's? I am!

So, the trip was quick and a lot of fun, however, there were no Buc-ee's along I-40. Love's has that corridor locked. I'm not saying Love's is bad, it's just not Buc-ee's.

Here's a quick recap of what I ate:

Saturday Night (left late): Sacramento to Mojave desert rest stop ~450 miles
  • Jug of water
  • Several Diet Cokes
  • Several Waterloo Grape Fizzy Waters
  • Bag of Mexican gas station trail mix in the crinkly sealed bag. Sabaroso I think.
  • 2 Snickers bars

Sunday to Mojave to Amarillo, TX Love's. ~930 miles
  • Jug of water
  • Several Diet Cokes
  • Several Waterloo Grape Fizzy waters
  • Love's Caesar Salad
  • Love's Southwestern Chicken Wrap (good!)
  • Love's Bearclaw
  • Several Love's Coffees
  • Lays BBQ Chips

Monday to Nashville, AR and back to Amarillo, TX Love's ~1,080 miles
  • Several Love's Coffees
  • Jug of water
  • Picked up Sprout and started the drive home with my little doggy.

Tuesday to Mojave desert ~930 miles
  • Several Love's Coffees
  • Jug of water
  • Beef Jerky sausages. Sprout got into the bag and ate several somewhere around Flagstaff.
  • Sprout had major poop incident due to jerky sausages.
  • Carl's Jr. -- Pigged out on a Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger - Zero F's Given.

Wednesday to Sacramento ~450 miles
  • Bag of Doritos and remaining jerky sausages
  • Coffee

Having one puppy isn't bad enough so I'm headed back to pick up another one around spring, so maybe I'll get some beaver nug-ee's then.
